The Author Of Un-Poetic-Me : Richa

Richa grew up in a middle-class joint family in a small town in Rajasthan. Her literary prowess started showing early in her school days. An introvert and daydreamer with hypersensitivity, she witnessed intense psychological experiences. Such experiences shaped her personality and allowed her to feel a range of emotions. Later these emotions became her tools to dig deeper into the human psyche. During a span of more than a decade, she traveled and worked intensively with women and adolescent girls from certain semi-urban, rural, and tribal areas of Rajasthan. Apart from the work front, these encounters not only gave her stories but enriched them with emotions also. She transforms these psychological and emotional experiences into poetry, stories, and satires and shares them on different platforms. Before becoming a full-time writer, Richa lived a ‘muggle’ life by holding down jobs in various arenas such as Banking, Consultancy Firms, College Teaching, and Developmental Organizations. Richa is an ardent practitioner of meditation and she enjoys reading books of philosophical and spiritual content. When asked about what she does, she replies with a gentle smile, ‘I heal through my writing and I write to heal.’
